About
Smart Entertainment was founded in 2001 as a management and production company, producing three consecutive number one box office films with Blades of Glory, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, and Ted. The Smart team was integral in the development of Anger Management with Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson that spawned a TV series in an unprecedented 10-90 deal for TBS, as well as the Beverly Hills Chihuahua franchise, and The Boy Next Door, which they produced with Blumhouse Productions for Universal Pictures. Smart was instrumental in negotiating TV mogul Seth Macfarlane's groundbreaking overall deal with 20th Television, which was the biggest writing / producing deal ever. Since 2001, Smart has generated more than $2 Billion for their clients and creations, including Ted, the highest-grossing R-rated comedy of all time. Currently, they are in development on multiple features and series at Netflix, Walt Disney Pictures, Lionsgate, Universal Pictures, Amazon, Apple, and Paramount Pictures.
